Stas Mushatenko (born April 16, 2003) is a belarussian writer and poet, well-known as a boy, who lost his left arm because of too tight cast, which had been applied on arm after double fracture.
In his early childhood he loved to read, especially fairy tales.[1].
In the summer of 2014 Stas went to summer camp in Lugawtsy locality. There, having fallen from a swing, he broke his arm in two places. It happened on friday. He was taken to the hospital by ambulance, and there doctors put his arm in a cast. On the weekeng he was at home, where he developed a fever. Stas's mother called an ambulance several times, but doctors advised him only to take an antipyretic.
On Monday, Stas and his mother visited Dubrowna's hospital doctor, Yuri Kirichenko, but he didn't see any serious problems. On Wednesday, Stas's arm became black — gangrene has begun. The mother took him to Vitebsk, in the regional hospital, where his arm was amputated above the elbow[2][3][4].
Yuri Kirichenko was found guilty but did not go to prison due to heart disability[5].
Stas began to learn to do everything by one arm[6]
Today instead of an arm Stas has a prosthesis, but its functionality is quite limited.[5]
