Career

edit

Kosti began working in music and visuals as part of the Hungarian pop-rock band, Punnany Massif.[3] In this period she directed a music video, created live visuals[4] and stage designs for the band.[5][6] She started to work with live visuals and 3D animation in 2010, and she designed her first stage design in 2016 at Müpa Budapest.[7]

During her studies, she directed music videos and made her first short film, IM Perfekt. Her research focused on transhumanism and cyborgs. In 2018, she gave a TED talk titled "Invisible Cyborgism". In her presentation she discussed how artificial intelligence seeps into our lives unnoticed and how we can remain human in a technology-driven world.[8][9]

In 2021 she showcased her work on the Guinness World Record Projection Mapping FreeFire and Limelight in Las Vegas.[10][11]

In 2022 Hajógyár created an autobiographical documentary, detailing the journey of her life. She is presenting her works featuring biomorphic installations that incorporate projection mapping and lighting design.[12]

In 2023 she debuted with her first data vizualization project What Lies Beneath on Vivid Sydney. What Lies Beneath then was invited to the Zsolnay Light Festival.[13] What Lies Beneath explores a new visual language driven by 20 years of data information by NASA between 2003 – 2023.[14]

In 2024 Istituto Marangoni invited Kosti to give an immersive workshop at Kanvas Dubai. 'Design in Immersive Environments' was a collaboration with Kanvas Dubai where Kosti demonstrated one of her projects with the help of graphic design software and projection mapping.[15] Her recent exhibition was also held at Kanvas Dubai where she created an immersive experience with projection mapping.[16]

She was the light artist for Chorus of Light, where she created visual content for the immersive light installation on Vivid Sydney 2024.[17]

In 2024, her project was selected for one of the nation's largest public art events, the Blink Festival in Cincinnati, Ohio.[18]

Awards

edit

Kosti has received film-making awards. She won the audience award at the Foresight Film Festival[19] and was named best female director at the Independent Days Internationales Film Festival.[20] Her short film IM Perfekt [21] was nominated at the Highlights of Hungary.[22]
