Vipul P Shah[1][2] is board member of World Diamond Council, National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), an Indian businessman and philanthropist.[3] He is the chairman of the Gems and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), which was set up by the Ministry of Commerce of the Government of India. Shah was elected as chairman of the GJEPC for a second term from 2022 to 2024. He also served as chairman from 2012 to 2015.[4][3][5][6]

As the chairman of Gems and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), Shah organized GJEPC’s first World Diamond Conference which was attended by Hon. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman.[7][8][9]

Vipul Shah is also a board member of the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), World Diamond Council, and Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO).[10][11][12][7]

Philanthropy

Vipul Shah has partnered with the Ministry of Education in Gujarat and the Tribal Integrated Development and Education Trust to support many school children with disabilities. He and his company are also working in the Adivasi region of Vikramgad, Maharashtra, to improve educational facilities for children. Additionally, Asian Star has helped provide Vedic education to 80 students from 13 different states in India through a residential Gurukulam system.[13] He established a primary school in his native village at Takarwada, Gujarat with the vision of giving back to the society.[13]
