Xavier "Zay" Malone (born March 6, 2000)[1] is an American football wide receiver who is currently a free agent. He most recently played for the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played college football for the Northeast Mississippi Tigers and the Henderson State Reddies.
Early life and high school
editMalone grew up in Mound Bayou, Mississippi and attended Lake Cormorant High School. In his high school career, Malone completed one carry for 10 yards along with 60 receptions for 1,163 yards and six touchdowns. Malone would complete one solo stop tackle.[2]

On May 1, 2023, Malone was signed to the Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted free agent after going unselected in the 2023 NFL draft.[4] He was released on August 29, 2023,[5] but was resigned to the practice squad the next day.[6] He was elevated from the practice squad on October 7, 2023.[7] He was reverted back to the practice squad on October 9, 2023,[8] but was released the next day.[9]
Toronto Argonauts
editOn December 19, 2023, Malone signed with the Toronto Argonauts.[10] He was released on May 28, 2024.[11]
