Zingroll is an American streaming platform for AI-generated films and series.[1][2][3] The platform is known for it's short-form and episodic content produced with generative video tools.[4][5][6]

The company was founded by Harshit Yadav, who had previously built the consumer applications Airfeed and LitFeed.[2][7] It maintains offices in San Francisco and Delhi.[8]

Its investors include Accel, Andreessen Horowitz's Speedrun programme, Google, Z Fellows and Network VC.[9][2][10]

History

Zingroll was founded by Harshit Yadav, an entrepreneur based in San Francisco who had previously built 2 consumer applications, Airfeed and LitFeed.[2][7] The platform launched on iOS and subsequently on Android.[11][5] Its early positioning centred on free access to movies and series.[5][12] The application was later repositioned around personalised generation, allowing a user to appear as the protagonist of a movie generated from a single photograph.[11][13]

Atoms AI Cohort

In March 2026, Zingroll was named one of five startups selected for the Atoms AI Cohort 2026, a partnership between Accel and Google's AI Futures Fund announced in November 2025 to support early-stage companies building AI products connected to India.[1][14] The programme received more than 4,000 applications and each selected company became eligible for up to $2 million in funding from Accel and the AI Futures Fund together with upto $350,000 in Google cloud and AI compute credits.[1][3][15][16]

Accel partner Prayank Swaroop told TechCrunch that roughly 70% of the rejected applications were "wrappers" and that many of the remainder fell into crowded categories such as marketing automation and AI recruitment.[1][3] Jonathan Silber, co-founder and director of Google's AI Futures Fund, said the selected companies aligned with areas where Google expected deeper real-world adoption of AI.[1] The Free Press Journal characterised Zingroll as the creative outlier of the group.[3]

The cohort opened on 11 March 2026 at Google's Ananta campus in Bengaluru with virtual speaker series running through April and May 2026 and a concluding programme in Mountain View, California in June.[17] Announcing the selection, Accel described Zingroll as a streaming platform for AI-native films and shows.[17][18] The selection was also reported by The Indian Express, YourStory, Analytics India Magazine, Moneycontrol and IT Voice.[19][18][16][15][20]

Platform and technology

Zingroll distributes films and series produced with generative tools. The application is distributed free of charge, offers trailers and original series, with in-app purchases.[5][6] The application allows a user to upload a photograph and receive an episodic film in which they appear as the lead character.[11][13]

Funding

Zingroll raised $250,000 in pre-seed funding.[2] In November 2025, the Ukrainian-American firm Network VC announced an investment in the company. Its founder, Oleksandr Soroka, said the firm backs founders who change how audiences create and experience content.[2] Its listing with a16z Speedrun names Accel, a16z Speedrun, Google and Z Fellows among its backers,[9][10] and it appeared among the companies presenting at the a16z Speedrun 2025 demo day.[21] Selection for the Atoms AI Cohort in March 2026 carried eligibility for up to $2 million in further investment and up to $350,000 in Google compute credits.[1][3]
