Taxobox
edit@Atlas Þə Biologist: please stop messing with the taxobox; you have no case here. The automatic taxobox system is vastly preferred, to the point that some of the most dedicated taxonomy editors have been spending the last decade in converting all remaining manula taxoboxes to automatic, wherever the system supports this. The factual upsides are listed here. The only reason for using a manual box is to display a phylogeny that cannot be easily rendered using the automatic system, and that is absolutely not the case here. And most desired changes, like showing additional intermediate taxa, can be done using parameters like "parents".
You really need to stop disrupting the proper formatting, phrasing and referencing of articles out of stubbornness. You have chosen to engage in one of the more heavily structured areas of Wikipedia, with strongly established rules and consensus, and people will tell you what these are, and expect you not to be a pain in the ass just because you want to have your private way. If I were to bring this draft up at a relevant noticeboard and ask for opinions about whether this should be an automated box, I would get unanimous assent. And the more this kind of public slap-down is necessary to prevent you from being a hindrance, the less respect and consideration you will get for future work. Please try to be collaborative and learn. This is not your private playground, it is an attempt to create a well-structured encyclopedia. Content and form come first, and your personal preferences way, way later. --Elmidae (talk · contribs) 06:09, 24 October 2024 (UTC)
