Description
English: Joe Cooper on his favorite hunter. Cooper has sole use of the Island 2400 square miles. He is the only white man there, and accounts for about 1000 buffalo hides per annum. (May to October the Dry Season) (Cooper on horseback - Cooper came to the Territory in 1879 and shot buffalo on Melville Island and the mainland for many years.)
