Anyone know which version this is? It seems likely to be Amstrad CPC, since there's only four colours and the resolution is 320x200 (the GIF contains anti-aliasing which certainly wasn't there in the original). It's not one of:

  • Enterprise 64/128 (would have resolution 336x256 with 4 colours)
  • Memotech MTX-512, MSX, Spectrum 16/48/128, Oric 1 (256x192, only two colours in a 8x8 cell)
  • BBC (would be 320x256)
  • Lynx, Nascom (no graphics)
  • Amstrad PCW, Macintosh (no colours)
  • MS-DOS (colours are wrong for CGA)
  • Atari 400 (no hires colour)
  • Sinclair QL (only offered 8 specific colours which don't match the picture)
  • Commodore 64/128 (max three colours in a 8x8 block)
  • Apple II (not sure about this one)

It could be a severely under-utilised Atari ST or Amiga, too. Kjetilho 06:00, 1 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

It's the MS-DOS version of Jewels of Darkness running on CGA High Intensity Palette 0 color mode. Try it in DOSBox if you are in doubt. 2fort5r (talk) 21:57, 20 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
