José Antônio Aparecido Tosi Marques (born 13 May 1948) is a Brazilian prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. He was the Archbishop of Fortaleza from 1999 to 2023.

Biography
editBorn on 13 May 1948, the first of six brothers, he was ordained a priest in 1974.
He served as auxiliary bishop of the archdiocese of São Salvador da Bahia from 1991 to 1999.[1]
Pope Francis accepted his resignation on 11 October 2023.[2]
