Max Israel is an American entrepreneur and creative director based in Lisbon, Portugal.[1][2] He is known for founding Y.Chroma, a luxury menswear brand.[3][4][5][6]

Early life and career

Israel attended Bellevue College. and later studied at the University of Washington.[7]

In 1994, Israel founded his first business, Bridgehouse Foods International, a distributor of industrial food ingredients. He sold the company in 2005.

In 2002, he founded Gymboree Play & Music franchise systems.[8]

Career

In 2002, Israel founded Customerville, a Customer Experience Management platform which emphasized visual design.[9][10][11] Many of the underlying behavioral science and design principals were presented in his 2018 book, Design-driven Feedback.

Customerville was acquired in 2021 by IFS, where Israel also served as the Global Creative Director and Customer Experience Strategy Officer.[12]

In 2023, Israel founded Y.Chroma, a luxury menswear fashion brand that caters to middle-aged men. The brand is known for its focus on clothing designed for Generation X men, and in particular for its use of color.[13][14][15][16][17]
