Praveen Singh was the first in his family to enter the indian politics, despite having no political background or support. His political career began with the Samajwadi Party, where he achieved notable success by winning the Machrehta Block Pramukh with his wife, Kammo Singh as the representative. Winning elections with 64 out of 76 votes.[5]> This victory occurred during the tenure of the Bahujan Samaj Party's government in Uttar Pradesh, with Rampal Rajvanshi representing the Misrikh constituency in the state assembly.

On 19 March 2024, Praveen Singh joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). During a public outreach event in Anogi village,[3] he was welcomed into the party by Ashok Rawat and Ram Krishna Bhargava.

In the weeks following his joining, Praveen was officially welcomed into the party by Sitapur District President Rakesh Shukla. This event underscored Praveen Singh's influence and the strong support he brought to the party.

Praveen Singh's association with the Kshatriya community and his influence among the Thakur community was instrumental in securing a strong position for the BJP in the region, contributing to the success of Ashok Rawat, who won for the second consecutive time with more than 4,50,000 votes.[6]
