editAs of 2001[update] India census,[2] Ranapur had a population of 11,617. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 6,245 and at present is 48%. Ranapur has an average literacy rate of 62%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 71%, and female literacy is 53%. In Ranapur, 16% of the population is under 6 years of age.
