Yarriambiack Shire Council is composed of three multi-member wards with two members each. The council decreased from seven members to six prior to the 2024 election; members were previously elected across two two-member wards and one three-member ward.[24]
Since only two candidates nominated to run in each ward, all six members for Yarriambiack Shire Council were elected unopposed.[25]
