Sudheer Dara (born 29 June 1971) is an Indian physician and politician.[1][2] He is the founder and director of Epione Pain Management, a healthcare facility based in Hyderabad, Telangana.[3][4] He is affiliated with the YSR Congress Party, and he actively participates in political initiatives.[5]

Early life and education

Sudheer Dara was born in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, and completed his schooling in the state. He earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery and Doctor of Medicine degrees from Kurnool Medical College. He further specialized in anesthesiology and pain medicine, with additional training in Pain and Palliative Care at MNJ Cancer Hospital, Hyderabad.

Medical career

Dara has contributed significantly to the field of pain management in India, emphasizing non-invasive and regenerative therapies.[6] In 2018, he established Epione Pain Management, which claims to provide innovative treatments such as Platelet-Rich Plasma therapy and other minimally invasive techniques for managing conditions like joint pain, back pain, and cancer-related pain.[7][8]

Political career

Dara is actively involved in politics as a member of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party. In 2024 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election, he was a candidate of the party from Nandikotkur Assembly constituency, but he failed to win the seat.[9] He has been tasked with overseeing political activities in a Lok Sabha constituency and several assembly segments in Andhra Pradesh.[10][11][12]
