editCsekonics was born in Kőszeg of Gradisce Croatian descent. His ancestors arriveed to the West-Hungary in 16th century. According to his biography he did not speak Croatian, only Hungarian, German, Latin and some French. Counts Csekinics are a well known Hungarian noble family and their surname was always written in this form. For Čekonić there are only 7 Google results, for Csekonics 821. You probbaly used Serbian sources, and as I know Serbs transcript foreign names: Tony Blair becomes Toni Bler etc. So In Serbian wiki Čekonić might be correct, but in English wiki no. --Koppany 10:13, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
