Canceled or terminated?

The wording of the lead is confusing. Usually "cancel" means an event did not happen at all. It appears the Festival occurred through at least the showing of he last film but ended before judging. Unfortunately, the French language fr:Festival de Cannes 1968 is similar to the state of this article and does not provide more detail. --Marc Kupper|talk 20:55, 26 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
