The review in summary: Read User:Sammi Brie/Commas in sentences. This is almost a GA. Hold to BennyOnTheLoose—ping me when done. Sammi Brie (she/her • t • c) 04:12, 22 November 2022 (UTC)

editLead
edit- The event attracted around 1,500 spectators, and was televised, with a forty-minute programme on ITV being broadcast on Christmas Eve, 24 December 1977. Fagan won the tournament, by defeating Higgins by 4 frames to 2 in the final. The first comma in each of these sentences should be removed: User:Sammi Brie/Commas in sentences. The former sentence is duplicated in "Background" with the same issue.

- Fagan escaped from the snooker successful by hitting a red ball by hitting the cue ball Is this intended?
- I reworked this part. BennyOnTheLoose (talk) 09:27, 22 November 2022 (UTC)
- after failing to pot the yellow ball when only the colours were left, and leaving it in a position close to the pocket I think this comma can go
- Fagan equalised with a 58 break in the second frame, and took the lead Remove comma
- Fagan exhibited high-quality safety play, and won the frame Remove comma
- The reporter for Snooker Scene magazine wrote that [quote], and praised Remove comma. I might also de-capitalize "winning" in the quote.
- Amended per the four points above. BennyOnTheLoose (talk) 09:27, 22 November 2022 (UTC)
Spot checks
editNormally, I would do a spot check, but the nature of the sources and their location makes such impossible. Many are offline or digital archive sources to which I do not have access. However, the sources make sense in context.
- Many thanks, Sammi Brie. Let me know if anything else is required. Regards, BennyOnTheLoose (talk) 09:31, 22 November 2022 (UTC)
