Context needed
editContext needs to be added. I read the source provided. This wasn't a precise targetting like is being implied. It wasn't an "incident" by dictionary standards. It was found to be unlawful later on this page. Unlawful violence is an attack 2603:8001:A301:1A39:A174:96E6:3B52:29B (talk) 17:22, 27 December 2022 (UTC)
- Your original edit was not "adding context," it removed citations and introduced spelling errors.
- Your second edit was better, but just added more detail than was needed.
- Finally, you need to clarify what "context" you're trying to add. Saying it
wasn't a precise targetting
and at the same time[u]nlawful violence is an attack
seems contradictory at first glance. - If you just want to replace "incident" with "attack," I'm indifferent and would probably be fine with that. But you should clarify what changes you're wanting to make here, first. — The Hand That Feeds You:Bite 18:15, 27 December 2022 (UTC)
First edit was a phone error deleting the citation.
"Saying it wasn't a precise targetting and at the same time [u]nlawful violence is an attack seems contradictory at first glance."
The inprecise targetting was in regards to the "bunker like cubicle". It's impossible to precisely hit a target when manually dropping from a helicopter. That would require aiming technology which didn't occur. Giving the unlawful attack on a residential area validation. The bunker like cubicle, in my opinion, feels like too much detail when it can only be hearsay from the offending party; the Philadelphia Police. G88phila (talk) 01:20, 30 December 2022 (UTC)

- This is what we call original research. If you can find a source that says it was impossible to hit the target from a helicopter in this instance, we can reflect that in the article. Otherwise, you're projecting your personal opinion into the Wikipedia article. — The Hand That Feeds You:Bite 12:48, 30 December 2022 (UTC)
- G88phila, I made a couple of changes that I hope reasonably address your concerns while sticking to facts from the sources. Freoh (talk) 03:19, 31 December 2022 (UTC)
Title/Template
editHello, seeing as this topic was already discussed previously, I wanted to ask before making the edit, would it make more sense to refer to this as an incident or another term? When considering the article as a whole, it covers the actions taken by both sides in the lead up to the bombing just as much as the bombing itself. I think the term "attack" wouldn't make sense either, since it implies it was more one sided(Not to say it wasn't). Considering the MOVE members were also actively engaged in a gunfight with the police, would it be more appropriate to use civil conflict infobox? ExiaMesa (talk) 03:13, 15 November 2024 (UTC)
- See WP:COMMONNAME. It's referred to as the "MOVE bombing" in reliable sources, so we go by what it's best known as. — The Hand That Feeds You:Bite 13:18, 16 November 2024 (UTC)
