Overall quality
editThis article is mediocre. It contains no details of the trials and convictions, as well as factual errors such as "However, according to the autopsies, the .22 bullet shot into the head of Amy Ayers, the youngest victim at 12 years of age[...]", however Amy was 13. Furthermore, the source for Amy Ayers' mother is an out-dated website which contains no reference of her mother at all. The only sources on Ms Ayers' opinion on the case is here where she is quoted as saying:
"First and foremost, we would like to thank the community for their prayers and support for the last nine and a half years," she said. "We would like to thank the jury for all their time and hard work."
after Springsteen's conviction.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 220.233.114.82 (talk • contribs) 12:56, 10 May 2008
- And the first time Springsteen and Scott are mentioned at all is when their convictions are overturned. Mr Larrington (talk) 23:58, 24 August 2021 (UTC)
Spelling of victim's last name
editI sometimes (as on the television news this morning) see Ayers's last name spelled "Ayres", though most places it is spelled "Ayers". I think that the prevalence of these misspellings warrants a note in the article. Any comments? - Johnlogic (talk) 15:01, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

Overly detailed lead section
editThe lead is overly detailed, and some details should be moved to the "Killing" section. More specifically, the lead includes information that is not present in the body of the article, which it shouldn't.Simplylil (talk) 03:05, 2 October 2023 (UTC)
