Why "alleged"?

Considering that the government paid compensation, it doesn't seem that the fact of the killing is in dispute. So why refer to it as "alleged killing"? Misplaced political correctness? 2602:306:CEAE:E60:F954:3DF4:95CF:EAF9 (talk) 09:51, 6 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
