Egyptian pharaohs

edit

Why are there so many Egyptian pharaohs on the list of important people. Many don't even have proper wiki articles. I understand that pharaohs where important but their are more Egyptian pharaohs on this list then everybody else combined.meitme (talk) 01:38, 29 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

BCE instead of BC

edit

Current language should use BCE instead of BC, why does everything refer to BC instead? -brill (talk) 02:57, 8 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

1st millennium BC: almost all references are Harts personal opinions

edit

This is an important article, isn't it? Spanning 1000 years of history. However, almost all of the references are about one author's personal opinions on who was how influential. I think Wikipedia deserves better than that. IMO one should either delete all those references to Hart's list, or create Wikipedia articles for alternative lists (some of them listed below), and add links from famous persons to those alternative lists, too. Otherwise the Wikipedia information on the 1st millennium BC will reflect inappropriate bias towards Hart's personal opinions.

Span?

edit

I guess the first millennium B.C. is supposed to be from 1000BC to 1BC. If this, or something else, is intended it would seem best to state it clearly. ~~reader —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 70.191.202.88 (talk) 22:08, August 22, 2007 (UTC)

Japan

edit

Shouldn't the foundation of Japan be added? Japan was, according to thier histories, founded on February 11, 660 B.C. This is an important event, as Japan lasted through the ages, beyond Egypt and Rome, become a powerful nation-state in the late 1860s, and a world power less than thirty years later. -Alex, 12.220.157.93 10:41, 22 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Collages

edit

It appears an RFC on collages on Wikiproject years will be interpreted to also ban collages in millenia articles. Users here may wish to participate. Koopinator (talk) 08:06, 24 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
