Hello, welcome to Wikipedia. You might like to start by reading the tutorial and introducing yourself at the new users page. For ideas of what to put on your user page, see Wikipedia:User page.

If you have any questions, you can ask at the help desk or on my talk page. Two useful tips are that you can sign your name using four tildes (~~~~) and you can preview your changes before you save using the show preview button. You can regularly find new tips on the Community Portal. I look forward to reading your great articles and I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian. :) Angela. 16:28, 8 Jul 2004 (UTC)

Queen's Own Rifles

I moved the page for you. I am not sure why it wouldn't allow you to. It should work if you are logged in and use the move tab. The other one will still need a redirect. Rmhermen 20:21, Jul 9, 2004 (UTC)

We decided on the Sollog talk page not to link to that site because it is a site that only exists to harass Jim Wales and Wikipedia because whiny Sollog can't get his way. Take a look at the talk page over there.A2Kafir 19:47, 15 Dec 2004 (UTC)

With all due respect, that isn't how things are done around here. If your article doesn't meet notability requirements, it may be deleted without further notice. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 02:26, 20 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

After reviewing the deleted content, there simply wasn't any text. That's a speedy deletion candidate since no administrator can possibly knkow what a user's intents are when posting an article. You're free to recreate an article under the same title, but please add some descriptive text and verifiable third-party sources. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 02:28, 20 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Do you one better: I'll restore the original content and let you work on that. Only takes a moment. Hang on...--PMDrive1061 (talk) 02:30, 20 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

All set. Sorry about the misunderstanding. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 02:33, 20 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Glad to help. Thanks again. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 02:47, 20 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Ron Pappin

edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Ron Pappin, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Non-notable person per WP:BIO - if this is removed, the article will be brought to AfD.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. neuro(talk) 02:54, 20 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Mike Shepherd (music producer)

edit

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a search with the contents of Mike Shepherd (music producer), and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: Mike Shepherd. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. CorenSearchBot (talk) 02:51, 7 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hi... you cannot just copy Mike Shepherd and paste it in Mike Shepherd (music producer). Instead, you need to use the "move" function to move the page over, then edit the original page to make the disambiguation. This is for copyright reasons, as the text in the history needs to be attributed to whoever has edited it before. fetch·comms 03:58, 7 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Battle of Norfolk

edit

Sir I wanted to let you know I wrote a piece on the British participation in the Battle of Norfolk. The information there was incorrect and I totally reworked it. I was in their sector of operations and what they did there was amazing. I felt they were deserving of a more detailed explanation of their operations. I also corrected the information provided in the Battle of 73 Easting article. Good day.Don Brunett (talk) 15:35, 20 January 2015 (UTC)Don BrunettReply
