Lead

• "led by running back Donald Brown's 208 yards rushing, dominated the first half statistically," 208 yards in the half? Just making sure that's right, very impressive if true. Wizardman _{Operation Big Bear}

Team selection

• "The International Bowl contracted with the Big East and Mid-American Conferences to select teams to participate in their annual game." Contracted sounds a bit odd; reword.
  • I changed it to "The International Bowl had contracts with the Big East and Mid-American Conferences that allowed them to select one team from each conference to participate in their annual game." How does that sound? –Grondemar 02:12, 27 June 2010 (UTC)
• "The two teams played each other for six consecutive seasons" in six.. sounds better I think.
  • Agreed, corrected. –Grondemar 02:14, 27 June 2010 (UTC)
• Any of the "# yards" stuff needs a non breaking space, i.e. 27 yards. Why I'm not positive, but that's what it says to do.
  • I believe I have added non-breaking spaces wherever required; please let me know if I missed any. –Grondemar 02:55, 27 June 2010 (UTC)
• "The Huskies easily won their first game 35–3 against FCS opponent Hofstra." Link FCS. I know it means Division I-AA, but others may not.
  • I had a note I was planning to add to the Notes section explaining FBS / FCS, but I keep getting Cite.php errors (see the linked revision). If you have any idea how to fix this error please let me know. –Grondemar 03:14, 27 June 2010 (UTC)
    • Strike the above, I see that they added an explanation to WP:FOOT of the bug; apparently the #tag workaround only works once with list-defined references. When I moved the note out of the LDRs, it worked fine. Hopefully they will fix that bug eventually. –Grondemar 03:31, 27 June 2010 (UTC)
• Link Temple in the following sentence, as well as other schools whose football programs weren't linked.
  • I didn't link Temple because they were previously linked in the Buffalo section; the Big East teams weren't linked because they were linked when I explained the bowl selection process above. Let me know if you still think they should be linked; I was trying to avoid WP:OVERLINKing. –Grondemar 03:14, 27 June 2010 (UTC)

• "The turnaround of the Buffalo program brought kudos to Bulls head coach Turner Gill," kudos seems a bit informal.

• "The Huskies allowed the 10th-fewest yards per game in the nation with 281 yards allowed" Any specific rankings for run and pass defense?

Game summary

• "and punted the ball to Connecticut" link punt, and other terms that non-football fans may not get (i.e. sacked)

• "and settled for a 38-yard Field goal" field goal doesn't need to be capitalized.

• "with 2,083 rushing yards, best in the nation that year." 'Which led the nation' sounds better.

  • Fullback. I didn't mention it initially in the passing section as his position is listed a couple of sentences before in the running section; I added the position for consistency. –Grondemar 04:58, 4 July 2010 (UTC)

Misc.

• I'm a bit confused as to the point of the group=" " in your references. It could probably be removed without harm unless there's something I'm not seeing. Wizardman _{Operation Big Bear} 19:26, 30 June 2010 (UTC)
  • Originally I placed the group=" " in the references to segregate them from the endnotes which had group="Note". After removing all the group=" " attributes the page rendered the same, so it turned out as you said that they were not needed. They have been removed. –Grondemar 14:16, 2 July 2010 (UTC)

All the media seems fine with the exception of File:2009_International_Bowl_trophy.jpg at the very least it should be tagged with {{trademark}}, if the photograph was taken in the USA, it is potentially non-free per Template:Non-free 3D art, I am not aware of a similar restriction in Canada. I will need to confirm with User:DoubleBlue (who took the photo), but I believe the trophy photo was taken from the floor of the Rogers Centre during the game, therefore in Canada. Thanks for the review! –Grondemar 17:09, 11 July 2010 (UTC)
