Going to review this NASCAR article tomorrow. good888 (talk) 18:35, 4 January 2015 (UTC)
Review is now complete. good888 (talk) 09:13, 5 January 2015 (UTC)
Lead section
- "Mark Martin of the Hendrick Motorsports team; Denny Hamlin finished second and Juan Pablo Montoya came in third." I think you meant that Martin won the race.
Report
- "with Jeff Gordon, Kurt Busch and Brian Vickers all tied with 5,010 points." I suggest rewriting this as you have used the word tied twice already. Suggest rewriting to: "with Jeff Gordon, Kurt Busch and Brian Vickers all level on 5,010 points."
- "Dodge, in third place, were tied on points with Ford in the battle for third place." So that means they are joint third? If so, I suggest rewriting to: "Dodge and Ford were tied on points in the battle for third place."
- Rewritten sentence Done Z105space (Talk to me!) 17:55, 5 January 2015 (UTC)
- "Later that day, Montoya paced the final practice session, with Truex, Jr. and Kurt Busch followed in second and third respectively." Rewrite to: "Later that day, Montoya paced the final practice session, ahead of Truex, Jr. in second and Kurt Busch in third."
- Rewritten the sentence Done Z105space (Talk to me!) 17:55, 5 January 2015 (UTC)
- "Five laps later, Jeff Gordon moved into sixth position, while Edwards passed Labonte for sixth." Makes no sense as Jeff Gordon was sixth at the time.
- I have rewritten the sentence Done Z105space (Talk to me!) 17:55, 5 January 2015 (UTC)
- "Three laps later, the third caution was given when Erik Darnell spun sideways" You mean the fourth caution.
- Yes I did, this has been clarified Done Z105space (Talk to me!) 17:55, 5 January 2015 (UTC)
- "Two laps after the restart, the fifth caution was given as a multi-car collision occurred, as Joey Logano and Elliott Sadler collided, collecting Paul Menard, Michael Waltrip, Robby Gordon and John Andretti." Does this crash count as The Big One (NASCAR)? If so, link it under multi-car collision.
- It does Done
- "Five laps later, Montoya passed McMurray for the fourth positions" Change positions to position.
- "By the 190th lap, Stewart had a lead of three seconds, while Montoya passed Stewart for third." I think you meant that Johnson was leading.
- Rewritten this part Done Z105space (Talk to me!) 17:55, 5 January 2015 (UTC)
I will promote once the issues above are addressed. good888 (talk) 09:13, 5 January 2015 (UTC)
