Needs copyediting

edit

I've tagged the article due to a glaring tone issue exhibited by some passages. A reasonable number of sentences are formulated as if this were a Wikinews or BBC report rather than an encyclopedic entry. SoLando (Talk) 15:40, 27 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

You would need to provide some examples if you want this to be fixed. --candlewicke 19:51, 27 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Unrest?

edit

Why "unrest" instead of "riots"? Everard Proudfoot (talk) 18:11, 27 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

media

Its how its been referred to in the media. I guess i see no other reason.
Krj373 (talk) 18:38, 27 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

shouldn't this be "uprising"? 76.66.193.224 (talk) 04:46, 28 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Could you please clarify the use of the word "unrest" for those who have no idea what it means, such as myself? As soon as you do, I'm linking the word to its article. Also, the lead should have much more explanation as to the background and the reason behind the unrest. Ericleb01 (talk) 17:09, 30 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Tone?

edit
  • Why is this article's tone a concern? I read through the whole thing; it's well-cited, and I can't see anything that goes outside the NPOV. I propose the "tone" template be removed, unless someone can justify it's placement (which they should have done here when they put it up in the first place).
  • Also: I've added the "current" template to the article, since it appears to be describing events that are still unfolding. bwmcmaste (talk) 21:50, 27 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
    • I went ahead and removed it. The adding editor tagged with the tool Friendly, so I imagine it should be easy for them to re-add (with specifics) with the same tool if there's still a problem. --an odd name 03:54, 28 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
