how are the flags non-free? unsigned message left by Khushank94 (talkcontributions) – please remember to sign with "~~~~" on talk pages

I checked File:BJP-flag.svg and it lacks source and author information. If it's the same for the other images, then they might be deleted soon. That information must be added to the image pages before they can be used in articles. Please see WP:NONFREE. – PAINE ELLSWORTH CLIMAX! 15:56, 29 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
PS. When you return the flags to the Ibox, you might want to ask yourself the question... should those flags be pictured so much larger than the flag of India itself?

After more thought, and after looking at past similar articles, I see those flags have been around for quite a while and used on many pages. It should be okay to return them to the article, but rather than break with tradition and put them in the Ibox like before, the flags ought to be included in the "Results" table that is in all the past articles. That table has a column that holds the flags and that is where they should go. – PAINE ELLSWORTH CLIMAX! 07:13, 4 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

The new template for the Results section has been started at {{Karnataka state assembly elections, 2013}}. The flags are included in that table. In past articles, there were sometimes photographs of the party leaders in the Ibox from where the flags were removed. It would be great if someone could come up with images of the present leaders! – PAINE ELLSWORTH CLIMAX! 07:38, 4 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

It should also be noted that the only flag image that is non-free is the JDS flag. It can only be used in the Janata Dal (Secular) article. – PAINE ELLSWORTH CLIMAX! 21:02, 4 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
