Wildcards for France
edit@LeFnake: Please stop delete my content. Dr. Hassan Moustafa president of the IHF said in a interview view the Handball inside magazine that every Olympic host receives wildcards for the two previous world championships.[1] I used an other source because this source is only an issue in hardware and so everybody can read it. But it's a fact that the Olympic host receives WC-Wildcards.--Malo95 (talk) 14:37, 12 February 2019 (UTC)
- @Malo95: Hi, thank you for all of this. Actually, your citation of Hassan Moustafa confirms me that's the decision is not official yet : wollen wir means we want to but not we decided to. Moreover, I'm French and read every day news about handball, and neither french media (main sport journal L'Equipe.fr, two main handball blogs handzone.net and handnews.fr, article about 2021 world championship on Le Monde, main french journal...) nor on main german handball blog (handball-world) talked about those wildcards. For me, it may be right in the future, but nothing is official about it for now. Moreover, in a sport point a view, given that 32 teams instead of 24 will play the competition, I can't imagine that France won't qualify on the field, so in my opinion, this information is useless as long as no official source (not an interview, even by IHF president) has been published by IHF. --LeFnake (talk) 15:33, 12 February 2019 (UTC)

31st place game
editWhat is, if another team has to withdraw? What's now written in the 31st place game seems some crystal ball to me.--Anaxagoras13 (talk) 15:24, 18 January 2021 (UTC)
- When another team has to withdraw (not happening for now), it can be rearranged. Kante4 (talk) 15:26, 18 January 2021 (UTC)
Bracket
editThe bracket as of now follows https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Ehje2i1WAAI3oCy?format=jpg&name=4096x4096 .
But there are other contradicting sources too:
https://www.ihf.info/sites/default/files/2021-01/Regulations%20for%20IHF%20Competitions_E_4.pdf pages 28,29 and
so the current bracket seems to be not correct.--Anaxagoras13 (talk) 16:30, 21 January 2021 (UTC)

Group II standings
editShouldn't Quatar have second place at this moment? Quatar just won the match against Argentina. "Rules for classification: 1) points; 2) head-to-head points" Aggplanta (talk) 18:54, 25 January 2021 (UTC)
