Opposition alliance
editIt seems that an a Left-Congress-TMC alliance is on the cards as a part of the I.N.D.I.A. bloc. TMC has already said that they will not contest the two seats where Congress has MPs and they are talking about a three-way alliance against the BJP. What should we do on this page? Shaan Sengupta, Dhruv edits. Ok123l (talk) 11:57, 20 December 2023 (UTC)
- Wait @Ok123l thanks for the suggestion. But I would suggest you to wait. Like the two sources you provided, first one says Mamata Banerjee may stay off, means this does not yet confirm. In second source she says that she is open to, this too is not confirmed. So we can't rely in this. I would want to wait and see how things unfold in next few days bcoz there were news reports that 30 Dec has been set as deadline for seat sharing talks. Not too much days to wait. ShaanSenguptaTalk 12:10, 20 December 2023 (UTC)
- I agree that we should wait, although according to The Statesman, the deadline is around three weeks, which is quite some time from now, which is why I proposed adding the INDIA bloc right now. Ok123l (talk) 12:53, 20 December 2023 (UTC)
- @Ok123l The proposed alliance still seems to be in discussion phase with all parties open to it. Also some level of speculation by news media cannot be ruled out. Let's wait until atleast one of the parties officially confirms it. Dhruv edits (talk) 14:54, 20 December 2023 (UTC)

Regarding "Surveys and polls" section
edit@MrMkG IN this edit: "https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=2024_Indian_general_election_in_West_Bengal&oldid=1219343130" you have deleted the "Surveys and polls" section and in your edit summary you have just mentioned "a complete mess". State specific "Surveys and polls" data table should be available in this page. The data is specific to this state and this election. So could you please elaborate on your reasons for such deletion? One may consider adding the actual results at the top section of the exit / opinion polls (for 2024) rather than at the bottom, given the polls are over and given one can then easily see which 'expert' exit polls to watch out for - come the next elections.
Being outside India, for the most part, personally it was an harrowing experience to see this list (before the vote) and then the actual results (after the vote), in-spite of the fact that they were but estimates.
