2024 Jerusalem mayoral election → 2024 Jerusalem municipal election – Jerusalemites are not just voting for the mayor, they are voting for the entire city council. And there are only 3 Mayoral candidates, while there are 16 parties running. I think that the page should be focused on the municipal election, rather than the mayoral one. - Support although it should be 2024 Jerusalem municipal election. Number 57 12:00, 18 February 2024 (UTC)
- @Number 57 Yeah, you're right on the capitalization. TimeEngineer (talk) 17:16, 18 February 2024 (UTC)
- I agree. Should be 2024 Jerusalem municipal election. Loves coffee (talk) 12:00, 19 February 2024 (UTC)
- Given that this seems like a non-controversial move, I recommend moving it A3811 (talk) 16:37, 20 February 2024 (UTC)
- Comment. This is a formal RM, so this article has been moved back to status quo until this request is closed in about five days or more. P.I. Ellsworth , ed. put'er there 17:15, 20 February 2024 (UTC)
- What is RM? Loves coffee (talk) 17:30, 20 February 2024 (UTC)
- RM is an initialism for "requested move". P.I. Ellsworth , ed. put'er there 18:38, 20 February 2024 (UTC)
- thanks. Weeks ago, I tried to change the title of the page. I now understand that changing the title is impossible and the proper route is to move the contents to a new, empty, page with the desired title. Loves coffee (talk) 19:24, 20 February 2024 (UTC)

@Number 57, Loves coffee, Paine Ellsworth, A3811, and Vanderwaalforces: Per WP:SNOWBALL I think that we have reached a consensus on this. Its an obvious move, has zero impact on POV, and there isn't any disagreement. I propose that, unless someone objects, we close this conversation at Noon GMT, 22-Feb-2024. TimeEngineer (talk) 09:19, 21 February 2024 (UTC)
- Yes, we all agree. But before closing, what is POV? Loves coffee (talk) 09:31, 21 February 2024 (UTC)
- Point of view (neutrality) A3811 (talk) 10:07, 21 February 2024 (UTC)
@Number 57, Loves coffee, Paine Ellsworth, A3811, Vanderwaalforces, and Mcljlm: If someone else can close it, I can do the transfer. TimeEngineer (talk) 07:13, 29 February 2024 (UTC)
Table showing ← 2018 27 February 2024 2028 →
editThis table is misleading. (1) It purports to show the allocation of seats on 27 February 2024. However, it shows the allocation after the 2018 election. (2) Further, three parties are missing in this table: Likud (1), Jerusalem will Succeed (2), and Jerusalem Unity (2). (3) Anyway, the same and complete information is shown in the table in the section entitled "City Council Lists". I think the table in the upper right corner should be deleted. Or keep the table with the names of the parties running in 2024. Delete the current numbers of seats. Enter the results of the 27.2.24 election when they become known. Change name or move
editWe all agreed that this page should be titled 2024 Jerusalem municipal election. If I understand correctly, the title cannot be changed; rather, the information should be redirected to a page titled 2024 Jerusalem municipal election. But, seems a page with this name does not exist. I do not know how to change the name, or create a page, or move, redirect, etc. Would be nice if someone else could do that. Loves coffee (talk) 21:45, 26 February 2024 (UTC)
- The name should certainly indicate elections to the whole council are included. After sending the URL to friends via WhatsApp I noticed the title and therefore the URL are misleading. Mcljlm (talk) 14:40, 27 February 2024 (UTC)
Results
editHi, how should we format results in? In separate sections or with the candidates? Also, should we put the mayoral results in the top-right election template in addition/instead of the council? That seems to work better A3811 (talk) 19:51, 29 February 2024 (UTC)
