Length
editIf you look on Jon Cassars website under 24 news, it says the cut is 15 mins so not 2 hours??? Pat (talk) 19:22, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
The quote is actually "The length of the show is long (15 minutes) and now comes the hard part of cutting scenes out to make the alloted network time frame." I think you'll find that means it's 15 minutes too long for the slot its going in, not that it's only 15 mins long :) 91.107.44.181 (talk) 22:21, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

- Just wondering if there's somewhere I can actually see the trailer of this TV movie, I can't seem to spot it anywhere. If there's somewhere I could view it, that would be great. Steve Crossin (contact) 03:52, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
- It is a work-in-progress leaked trailer here (might not last for long): [removed link due to copyvio concerns] SeanMooney (talk) 07:58, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
- Already found it, and saved it on my PC for future reference. I've watched it like 7 times already. We should try expanding the lead of this article, and try and turn this into a DYK. Steve Crossin (contact) 08:02, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
I have a new point to raise about the length -- it says on the page 120 mins (including commercials) but on the DVD it says 2 hour special event. I think it will be longer than 120 with commercials, because they won't be on the DVD, will they? 82.38.13.35 (talk) 18:51, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
It is 120 minutes with commercials, 87 without. Should a wiki page be made for Sangala? I think it would be cool. Mr. moose (talk) 04:19, 25 November 2008 (UTC)
- A wiki page already exists for Sangala. It is a redirect to sub-section S under Fictional Africal countries. I think this is appropriate. Julianhall (talk) 11:39, 3 December 2008 (UTC)
Date the Movie is set
editIt said on here that the movie is set in they year 2017, after reading the article that this related too it said that if anyone works out the number of president involved in the series to date it has to be set in 2017. This is wrong, so i removed it. A short explanation is below.
Day One aired in 2001. If we say that it was based in 2000 and David Palmers presidential camapign was for the 2000 elections we can deduce that david palmer was inagurated on 1st January 2001. Day Two David palmer still president. The series took place 18 months after the events of day one. Circa 2001. Day three took palce three years after the events of day two. David Palmer is running to gain nomination for the presidential race so this puts the series arround 2004. Day four takes place 18 months after the events of day three. John Keeler is now president after beating Palmer for the party nomination, in this series he his mortally injursed during a terrorist attack on air force one and charles logan is sworn in under the 28th ammendment. circa 2005/early 2006 Day five takes place another 18 months after Day four Charles Logan is still president and removed from office at the end of the series by Jack Bauer, Hal Gardner the VP of Logan is assumed to ascend to the presidency. circa 2008. Day Six the presidential term of Hal Gardner came to a end shortly before and Wayne Palmer the brother of David Palmer is now president. Due to being sevearly injured during a terrorist attack his VP Noah Daniels takes control. circa 2009. 24: Redemption and Day 7. Allison Taylor is inuagurated making this time arround 2012 elections and January 2013 inaguration day. 90.195.56.51 (talk) 17:11, 23 July 2008 (UTC) Jon Wilson
The day is January 20, 2013, 3 PM to 5 PM. The presidential inauguration is at 12 noon Washington DC Time, and President Taylor was inaugurated at the end of the episode. I guess it isn't exactly in real time. Mr. moose (talk) 04:32, 25 November 2008 (UTC)

- While I appreciate your statement, it constitutes original research, which cannot be used when creating article content. If you disagree with an article's content, you need to find reliable sources in order to verify your claims. With that information, the article can then be modified. Please note that continually reverting or removing the same content can constitute an edit war. Hope this helps, Gazimoff(mentor/review) 17:32, 23 July 2008 (UTC)
- Forgive me if i am wrong but this is based on a TV series no? whats more reliable source than the content thats on the series? 90.195.56.51 (talk) 22:48, 23 July 2008 (UTC) Jon Wilson
- What you've said constitutes original research, you have basically gone and calculated, by yourself, the rough year that the series is set in. Reliable sources are better to be used, ans third party sources should always be used over a primary source. Please have a look at the source, and see the comment regarding the year that this is set in. Thanks, Steve Crossin (contact) 01:02, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
Title Changed
editI just wanted to note that the prequel title has been changed from Exile to 24: Redemption. Source: http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/24-Exile-Renamed/10460

Hi Can anyone tell me a site where to find the first act (17 minutes) of 24: Season 7 that is on the 24: Redemption DVD. I can't get the DVD because I'm in New Zealand, but I want to see the first act of Season 7. Does anybody know of a site where it has been uploaded? I've tried torrent sites and video streaming sites but no luck. Please, somebody, help me out. Cheers —Preceding unsigned comment added by Caradone (talk • contribs) 21:31, 25 November 2008 (UTC)
GA pre-review
editI don't have time to do a formal review for this article, but in order to pass one in the future, this article is going to need a reception section with critical commentary, viewier numbers, and a citation for the citation needed tag. Nikki♥311 17:23, 5 December 2008 (UTC)
GA review
editThis article is nowhere near the length or comprehensiveness that is expected of a good article: the production section is short and there are no critical reviews at all. For a TV movie that gets 12 million viewers, I find it hard to believe. The prose can be improved vastly as well; this was done with little effort and already looks better. Football to Soccer
editI guess, as '24' is an American show, it should be 'soccer', despite being described as 'football' in the movie. Also, I would like to tell Matthew R Dunn that I am not a Brit, but am an American who agrees with the term football for 'soccer' and American football for 'football'. 76.111.67.200 (talk) 01:59, 14 January 2009 (UTC)
- Actually, if you may have misintrupret what I said in the edit summary, I was actually referring to myself as a Brit (as I usually twists some words now and then). Anyway, this morning, I reverted a similar edit, and he left me a message on my talk page, so now I'm starting to get a little confused about what to do. So I'm open to suggestions about what to do concerning football/soccer. -- Matthew R Dunn (talk) 02:35, 14 January 2009 (UTC)
- Another Brit here. For absolute clarity, i would suggest use of 'Soccer', 'American Football', etc. 'Football' is an ambiguous term, and could potentially be used to refer to any of the codes of football (American, Canadian, Australian Rules, Association, Rugby, Gaelic, etc.). I am strongly against use of the term 'football', other than when used to refer to all of the various sports that fall under the umbrella term 'football', as defined here. Julianhall (talk) 11:55, 14 January 2009 (UTC)

Not a "prequel"
editI deleted the word "prequel" in the article. It may have been called a prequel in publicity, but regardless it is not. A "prequel" goes back in the timeline. (If it had been shown AFTER day 7 was broadcast, it would be a prequel.) Redemption occurs after Day 6, before Day 7, so it is just in the normal timeline. (24 never has flashbacks, except recaps/previouslies, after all.) Call it an introduction, prelude, but not a "prequel". See prequel before you argue with this. ("A prequel is a work that portrays events and/or aspects of a previously completed narrative, but is set prior to the existing narrative.") Barsoomian (talk) 06:38, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
Acute accent marks on Colonel Dubaku's first name
editI just noticed that all of the acute accent marks were removed from 'Iké'. Shouldn't they have acute accent marks on them? It's to mark how his name is pronounced (especially as a name most likely French-influenced), and it is also how the name is spelled (with the accent mark) when it is introduced with the character the name is of at the beginning of each episode, during the recap of the previous episode. 76.111.67.200 (talk) 03:39, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, it's "Iké", as seen on the chyrons. Fixed that. Barsoomian (talk) 00:32, 17 February 2009 (UTC)
Extended Edition Runtime
editI've changed the extended edition runtime from 120 to 102 minutes. Various sources like IMDB state that the USA extended edition is 102 minutes, not 120.

Overall was well written and satisfies most of the good article requirements. Just address the following problems and I will approve the article. Malinaccier (talk) 03:39, 6 December 2011 (UTC)
- There needs to be consistency as to whether you refer to Jack Bauer as "Jack" or as "Bauer." Done
- "The film was conceived by the 2007–2008 Writers Guild of America strike, which delayed the seventh season for an entire year, the producers were exploring ways to get back on the air earlier." Does this mean the film was created because of the strike? Can you clarify this? [1] Done
- "Release and reception" and "Release and viewership"/"Critical reception" are redundant. Done Fixed.
- "Mary McNamara of The Los Angeles Times praised the film for having Howard Gordon taken to heart the criticism and moral issue regarding..." having Howard Gordon taken to heart is confusing.
Fixed, I think.[2] Done - Critical reception section needs transitions between paragraphs.
Gave it a go[3] Done - References 4, 37, 38, 39, and 40 need to be expanded. Done [4]
- Reference 13 is broken [5] Removed . It looks permanently dead. Could only find the article on LexisNexis. The info isn't overly significant so I've removed the one sentence with the dead citation.
- Reference 29 is broken [6]
It's still there, but the information needs to be looked for manually, using the instructions in the reference. I was able to find it.It's timing out for me, so I've updated it with a new reference. Lastly, can you please fix your links to redirects within the article?
I will take a look at this again later today when I have more time. Looking good so far! Malinaccier (talk) 13:30, 9 December 2011 (UTC)
I'm passing the article! Well done! Malinaccier (talk) 22:02, 9 December 2011 (UTC)
