According to this, it is a brand new competition and not just a renaming of the current AFC Women's Club Championship which was just a pilot project, so AFC Champions League should have a separate article. Snowflake91 (talk) 09:25, 17 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
Because the men's competition is treated as the same in almost all sources, including AFC, while the women's competition is clearly labelled as a brand-new competition, AFC Women's Championship was just a pilot event and they won't carry over any records or statistics, at first they didn't even plan to held a final match for the 2023 edition since it was just a test event.
