I wish knowledgeable persons could talk more about the dog actor's training. I was pretty darned impressed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Marainlaw (talk • contribs) 20:46, 10 November 2019 (UTC)
Changing the genre and updating the plot
editYesterday, I edited the genre of the movie “A Dog’s Way Home” because since I watched it, there was too much trauma in this movie and it’s not good for the families and definitely not good for the children. First of all, the “family” genre should be removed from “A Dog’s Way Home” because it is not a family movie. Second, the “drama” genre should be added to this movie, even though I agree with the “adventure” genre. Finally, I added details of what really happened in the plot of this movie because the dog catcher was not the only one who was involved because the police were involved in Bella’s impoundment and the dog catcher threatened to have Bella’s owner, Lucas, arrested if he resist. Unfortunately, the user, Sweetpool50, interferes with my updated editing claiming that I “disrupted” the film page. Even though I edited things too much, it’s not true that I was disrupting the page. Also, I agree that the movie is based on the novel “A Dog’s Way Home.” I suggest to the creator of the “A Dog’s Way Home” page that he or she has to reconsider Sweetpool50’s decision to revert back to the original edition of the page. Here are the sources and evidence of my suggestions to this page: https://www.peta.org/blog/dangerous-messages-dogs-way-home/

Here’s the additional source for my suggestions: https://wbrucecameron.com/books/ This source says that’s it’s for grown ups, especially for animal lovers. But the novel and the movie is not for children and their families. AmericaBoy3446 (talk) 21:22, 17 November 2020 (UTC)
- The user is new to Wikipedia and has yet to master editing guidelines. The movie was marketed as "a family adventure film" with a Parental Guidance rating. That's a fact that cannot be air-brushed away, and reviews often followed suit. There were dissenting voices and that fact is touched upon in the first paragraph of the "Critical response" section. AmericaBoy3446 is free to add his other evidence there but not to impose his own view on the whole article to the exclusion of all others. Sweetpool50 (talk) 13:00, 18 November 2020 (UTC)
Hi 81.105.134.195, will you show your evidence and proof to Sweetpool50 that this movie does talk about breed discrimination based on “A Dog’s Way Home?” Will you also tell him that there are details that the dog catcher was threatening the dog owner to be arrested by police officers if he resists? It would probably help the readers and movie viewers. AmericaBoy3446 (talk) 22:06, 18 November 2020 (UTC)
- The editor is so unobservant that he has not noticed the ungrammatical change he wanted to introduce into the third paragraph concerning Chuck's threat of arrest was already mentioned in the second paragraph. Sweetpool50 (talk) 06:47, 19 November 2020 (UTC)
Actually Sweetpool50, about Chuck's threat of arrest. It was the second time Chuck was threatening to have Lucas arrested when Bella came to the VA hospital to see Lucas. The first threat of arrest happened after Bella was chasing a squirrel down the street. When Lucas was about to take Bella back home, Chuck pulled Lucas over to impound Bella and brought a couple police officers to arrest Lucas if he resist. That is why I edited the plot and genre before you reverted back to the original edition. My question to you is, have you watched A Dog's Way Home movie or did you just read the book about it?
- And my question to AmericaBoy3446 is has he ever read WP:FILMPLOT, especially the points about avoiding redundancy and not needing to add every little detail? Sweetpool50 (talk) 20:04, 19 November 2020 (UTC)
- Sweetpool50, are you saying that I'm not allowed to delete the original sentence in the plot and not replace it with the new sentence? I'm trying to explain to you that A Dog's Way Home is not a "family" movie and if you keep reverting my fair editing and keep giving me strict warnings, I will report your attitude to the Wikipedia administrator or the editor-in-chief and have a serious discussion with him or her about my opinions and your opinions.AmericaBoy3446 (talk) 22:05, 19 November 2020 (UTC)
Sweetpool50, you are the most terrible editor I ever met on Wikipedia. You shouldn’t have deny the changes I recommend in the first place. Because you were threatening to have me blocked on Wikipedia, you’re the one who needs to be blocked after what you did to my edits. AmericaBoy3446 (talk) 18:21, 3 December 2020 (UTC)
