It's original research but you cannot hide the facts. Most of this article seems to be a copyvio anyway.REVUpminster (talk) 07:50, 11 September 2012 (UTC)
- Isn't it in the Almeria area, though? It's probably just the site they are referring to. Glimmer721 talk 00:39, 12 September 2012 (UTC)
- It's like saying Buckingham Palace is in England and not including London. Almeria is a big area in Andulucia. Some of the interviews are wrong in mixing up the area with Almeria Town (the capital on the coast). The nearest town is Tabanas which is about 20-25 miles inland.REVUpminster (talk) 06:38, 12 September 2012 (UTC)
P.S. I think most readers want to know where the episode was filmed especially as these are tourist sites and welcome visitors. Lets hope in the next 10 years a third party mention the actual sites.REVUpminster (talk) 11:54, 12 September 2012 (UTC)

- Thanks for the sources. Feel free to cite these when adding the production details (sorry, my Spanish is way rusty). DonQuixote (talk) 22:44, 12 September 2012 (UTC)
- Having now seen the episode, the filming was split with the explosions in the town was done at Texas Hollywood and the sheriffs office scenes at mini hollywood linking by the use of the lampposts at both.REVUpminster (talk) 06:41, 17 September 2012 (UTC)
- As the wild west set is back-to-back with a mexican set, I wonder if Amy saying they were actually looking for Mexico was an in-joke. Meh, we'll never find a source for that! ~~ Peteb16 (talk) 10:11, 17 September 2012 (UTC)
Infobox
editI just noticed this tailored infobox unlike the standard tv episode infobox does not allow the inclusion of music or the director of photography.REVUpminster (talk) 21:04, 15 September 2012 (UTC)
Main image
editWhy did you remove the image & caption? 188.141.41.93 (talk) 16:55, 16 September 2012 (UTC)
- Because it's against Wikipedia's Non-free content policies. See WP:NFCC for more information. The image is copyrighted and belongs to the BBC so we can't use it here unless, as the policy states (amongst other reasons), "its presence would significantly increase readers' understanding of the topic, and its omission would be detrimental to that understanding." ~~ Peteb16 (talk) 17:11, 16 September 2012 (UTC)
- There is a discussion about it at Files for Deletion here. If it is deleted, the one for Dinosaurs on a Spaceship will likely go too, on the same grounds. --‖ Ebyabe talk - Welfare State ‖ 17:34, 16 September 2012 (UTC)
- Peteb16 has it correct. Our policy on non-free content requires images to have a strong rationale to keep. A "unique" title card - where its only different from the current main title card used at Doctor Who being the "skin" of the title (wood instead of metal) - is not a strong reason. To throw out what might be acceptable, if there was significant sourced discussion about the makeup work for the Gunslinger, a cap of a close up of the Gunslinger may be appropriate. But there's no automatic allowance for images in episode pages, particularly if they are duplicate. --MASEM (t) 17:40, 16 September 2012 (UTC)
- I've actually added more to the production section, some of which concerns the Gunslinger's look and costume. If there would be an appropriate image, it would be that. Glimmer721 talk 00:26, 17 September 2012 (UTC)
- I would agree with that addition, a good closeup of the Gunslinger would be an appropriate lead image. --MASEM (t) 00:28, 17 September 2012 (UTC)

So is every logo from now going to be removed? I know you mentioned DoaS going but what about AotD? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.141.41.93 (talk) 17:32, 17 September 2012 (UTC)
- Arguably the logo on the AotD page should be removed, but the image is otherwise fine as the current title card on the main Doctor Who page. If and only if there's something critically unique about these logos at the end of this series, we can talk about them then. --MASEM (t) 17:36, 17 September 2012 (UTC)
It is sad because it is nice to have a set & collection of logos.... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.141.41.93 (talk) 19:42, 18 September 2012 (UTC)
Thumbs up to Glimmer721 for using File:Doctor Who Gunslinger.jpg this image as the main image, as it is properly discussed in the article and actually rather iconic for it too. --MASEM (t) 20:17, 24 September 2012 (UTC)
- You're welcome. :) But you gave me the idea. Glimmer721 talk 23:33, 24 September 2012 (UTC)
Now that's what I call "significantly increas[ing] readers' understanding of the topic". ~~ Peteb16 (talk) 23:39, 24 September 2012 (UTC)
- I notice most Dr Who images are under review incuding this one at Wikipedia:Non-free content review which seems to be operated by about three people taking all the delete decisions. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.215.25.147 (talk) 06:30, 26 July 2013 (UTC)
Rating Info Wrong
editThe rating section states that the 6.6 million is the highest the series has got so far, this should be changed to highest 'overnight' figure' as the premiere got over 8 million in final numbers. — Preceding unsigned comment added by SNTMcentral (talk • contribs) 22:02, 16 September 2012 (UTC)

Comments
- Link science fiction
- The episode's plot section is too big as per WP:TVPLOT
- Add alt text to the images
- "most of it was done by his stuntman" huh?
- For ref. 24, can you make a note as to where this information is located
On hold until the above issues are addressed. TBrandley 18:01, 9 October 2012 (UTC)
- added alt to infobox, could not make it work on theme park images. The paremeters are different.REVUpminster (talk) 20:57, 9 October 2012 (UTC)
- As far as I know, alt text is only required for FA-level (hence why there is no tool to the right). I'll see what I can do about the plot when I get the chance; right now it seems about average length and I'm not sure what can be cut out. I've done the other changes above. Glimmer721 talk 01:25, 10 October 2012 (UTC)
- I've gone back over the plot, and I really can't cut much more out. It should be about average length compared with other TV articles. Maybe the reason for extra word count is that two characters are "the Doctor" and "the Gunslinger" rather than a one-word name? Glimmer721 talk 22:42, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
