- ... that although he was expected to exit the race after about 30 km (19 mi), pacemaker Reuben Kipyego ended up winning the Abu Dhabi Marathon and 100,000 USD? Source: https://archive.today/20230521234346/https://www.runnersworld.com/news/a30152339/pacer-wins-abu-dhabi-marathon/

- Comment: runner's world appears to have misspelt his name. the spelling in the twitter post for the first name appears to be accurate (but not the second).

2018 course times
editfor 2018, both the mens and womens times are the fastest total, but neither are recognized as the fastest course time. Is this a mistake or am I missing something — Preceding unsigned comment added by WikipediaNerd12345 (talk • contribs) 18:23, 11 October 2023 (UTC)
- WikipediaNerd12345, the 2018 course was reportedly short, so reliable sources have ignored times from that year when determining the course record times. one of the footnotes for the table of winners mentions the issue, and the history section has a paragraph with more detail about how people concluded that the course was short. dying (talk) 01:00, 12 October 2023 (UTC)
