Background information
editI think there is currently too much historic background in the article. I'm not sure what would be an appropriate amount. I'd say until late 1980s or early 1990s would be good enough. @DigitalIceAge do you have an opinion here? PhotographyEdits (talk) 13:02, 29 March 2024 (UTC)
- I have to agree, 90 percent of it is irrelevant backstory not very helpful in understanding how the IBM came to prominence in the personal computer market specifically. In fact only one sentence is dedicated to the IBM PC. No mentions of the PS/2 or the PCjr or even the 5100. It's a nice effort, but if readers want to know about the history of the company going back that far, well, the article on IBM is right there. DigitalIceAge (talk) 16:22, 29 March 2024 (UTC)
