Dates don't add up

edit

Some stuff in the article is incorrect. It says Ada was born in 1977, and that she was in Heartbreak High at the age of 15 in 1994, when she should have been 17. It also says she auditioned for Home and Away at 16, before saying in the same paragraph that she made her television debut in 1991, where she should have been 14; although this could just be the way I'm reading it, and that could be correct. Whether or not that's right, something is definitely wrong. jd || talk || 15:17, 21 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Photo description: digitally altered?

edit

I don't know why, but someone had slipped in a comment in the photo description on the page about how it "appears to be digitally altered." Apart from my personal belief that it isn't (or at the very least doesn't appear to be) digitally altered, the claim is also completely unfounded. I have decided to remove it due to the fact that I see it as vandalism, however I think it's also appropriate to open discussion on the subject just to make sure. Given it was this user's only edit to insert the comment, [1], yours is a good call. --Steve (Stephen) talk 23:52, 1 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Where was she born??

edit

Um, how can she have been born in both Sydney and Cyprus? :-) Sassf (talk) 23:06, 15 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

DOB

edit

Providing a DOB is a real concern for privacy, and a violation of BLP policy. I have removed her full DOB and left her year only. - Chris.sherlock (talk) 22:18, 19 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

We do not censor on Wikipedia. It is detailed in her entry on a national television station website. The information is already out there.Rain the 1 22:26, 19 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
The page quoted in the edit summary, WP:DOB states:

Wikipedia includes full names and dates of birth that have been widely published by reliable sources, or by sources linked to the subject such that it may reasonably be inferred that the subject does not object to the details being made public. If a subject complains about our inclusion of their date of birth, or the person is borderline notable, err on the side of caution and simply list the year, provided that there is a reliable source for it.

The sources in the article are reliable and linked to the subject. I'm unaware of Nicodemou requesting her DOB be removed from here or anywhere else on the internet. If you're removing/planning on removing DOBs from other BLPs, then I think you need to discuss it at an appropriate noticeboard or talk page first to gain a community consensus. - JuneGloom07 Talk 23:02, 19 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
The two sources are tabloid style soap magazines, and you haven’t justified why we need more than her year of birth. I will continue to remove this information, please note that 3RR doesn’t apply here and I will take to the BLP Noticeboard if you continue to re-add this information. Once I get home I will also be notifying an oversighter to have the revisions that added this scrubbed. - Chris.sherlock (talk) 02:16, 20 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
