Surname: Lima or Lima da Silva?
editRecently, a user added that Lima's full name is Adriana Lima da Silva. This appears to be supported by a YouTube video from a modelling competition?[1] At the 7:11 mark, it appears to introduce a then teenage Lima as "Adriana Lima da Silva". And it's also mentioned on TV Guide.[2] Birth Name: Adriana Lima da Silva.
Many sources I've seen simply call her Adriana Lima or Adriana Francesca Lima, which she debunked per the W Radio Colombia interview in 2010.[3] It makes no mention of "da Silva" and she says: "I don't have a middle name, it's only Adriana Lima". In Portuguese names, they usually have both parents surnames. But it appears her parents are named Maria das Graças Lima and Nelson Torres, so I'm not sure where the "da Silva" is coming from?
I don't see anything about her father being named "da Silva", unless it came from her mother? Because if her full name is "Adriana Lima da Silva", then I'd assume we would need the Portuguese name hat note. Clear Looking Glass (talk) 04:34, 30 March 2023 (UTC)
NPOV
editI think we need a strong RS to demonstrate that Adriana Lima changed her views on issues like abortion and homosexuality. The defense taken by a publicist to deflect criticism doesn't necessarely indicate that. However, and that is my POV, it seems baffling how can Moyra Dodd attack her for these stances, if she still has them, considering the large amount of female footballers who have similar stances and certainly play in international competitions.Mistico Dois (talk) 23:30, 30 July 2024 (UTC)
