Note from creator
editI created this page with the intent to update it in the near future with a bit of historical information on the hotel.
I should disclose the fact that I am an employee and tenant of the business, but my intentions are not to advertise per se, but rather to share some information on what I consider to be a unique and interesting establishment that holds a significant place in Alaskan history.
As I have been unable to login via IRC to gather feedback on the nature of this (currently) brief article, I am hoping this talk page will generate some input on whether this is a legitimate article which could be considered (as info is added) to be a useful addition to Wikipedia.
As I said, my intention is not to advertise, but to create a reference to this Cordova landmark. The owner has made it clear that he does not intend to promote his business beyond word-of-mouth, since the condition of the building is rustic and the hotel is run very informally. Persons looking for elegant or modern accomodations will be advised to patronize other establishments in the area, and those seeking historic accomodations which are purely representative of Cordova's early days will likely be disappointed.
We love this place, but we are not attempting to persuade anyone else to appreciate this eclectic and living part of Alaskan pioneer heritage.
Comments are most welcome!
