Head of the Communist Youth League in 1943, and head of the same organization from 1952 to 1958

"Communist Youth League in 1943, and head of the same organization from 1952 to 1958."

The Communist Youth League was dissolved in 1943. Was Shelepin head of the World Federation of Democratic Youth instead? Prezen 16:17, 19 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Googled and found some confirmation. http://files.osa.ceu.hu/holdings/300/8/3/text/95-2-174.shtml Prezen 17:09, 19 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Solzhenitsyn quote

edit

Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn suggested that Shelepin had been the choice of the surviving Stalinists in the government, who asked what "had been the point of overthrowing Khrushchev if not to revert to Stalinism?" -- What is the source of this quotation? I can't find it anywhere. -- QUANTUM ZENO 13:42, 7 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Note that the Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn Center has NO A.S. material that references Shelepin at all. This must be a bogus quote (lots of them abound in Russian Wikis) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.12.180.107 (talk) 20:35, 8 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Service in the Winter War

edit

Hi, I was wondering where the claim that Shelepin served in the Winter War comes from and is there anymore details about it? 2A00:23C8:A869:900:5380:B0B2:BF2C:E926 (talk) 09:22, 30 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
