Tornado
editI removed the reference to a tornado in the opening paragraph. It doesn't belong there, and the link was to photos not from Altona. Justinfr (talk) 01:45, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
Sister City
editEmerald Qld Australia is their sister city. Does this have a place in the article anywhere? (I can verify this because i live there and its written on a sign as you enter Emerald) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.185.237.48 (talk) 12:55, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
- It's also noted (though peripherally) on the town website. I'll add it to the article. Justinfr (talk) 13:24, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
New reference ?
editI have a book, Altona: A Pictorial History, by Vic Penner, published in 1990 that could be used as a reference that could back up some of the economics reference concerns. Is anyone else familiar with this book? Kjbavaro (talk) 02:34, 11 March 2015 (UTC)
- with a second new reference, and more notes, what is the process for taking off the warning about the lack of sources in the economics section? Kjbavaro (talk) 04:15, 3 April 2015 (UTC)
- I'm planning to add history and update the way the reference section is set up, at least for the three books I have in my possession, to put more of the notes details in line, which should help make the page look a bit cleaner.Kjbavaro (talk) 16:40, 3 April 2015 (UTC)
- I've discovered Wikipedia:WikiProject_Canadian_communities and am working to make the page fit this standard. Kjbavaro (talk) 19:50, 4 April 2015 (UTC)

Climate
editThe climate data on the page is old. There is new data, but it doesn't include precipitation. Can someone please put both it? http://climate.weather.gc.ca/climate_normals/results_1981_2010_e.html?searchType=stnProv&lstProvince=MB&txtCentralLatMin=0&txtCentralLatSec=0&txtCentralLongMin=0&txtCentralLongSec=0&stnID=3572&dispBack=0 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Socialistboyy (talk • contribs) 12:27, 15 June 2017 (UTC)
