Merge with Azane or Amino radical?

Please, let's not conflate matters further. There is confusion enough that this page has incorrect text describing the NH2- ion as if it were the NH2 radical. I'll be updating this to be correct, but if we merge the articles for different chemical species, it will be more difficult to distinguish them. (And for precedence, hydroxide and hydroxyl radical have different pages :), albeit more they're more filled-out). --RProgrammer (talk) 22:50, 19 December 2017 (UTC)

Name change!

This article's name was based on an incorrectly-applied source. The source was referring to the radical and thus should apply to amino radical, not this page! However, the correct name seems to be "amide" which is already in use!. I very much support these articles having their own independent existences, just like hydroxide (cf. amidogen) and hydroxyl radical (cf. amino radical) do from hydroxy group (cf. amide), but either way, this article should either have its name changed or it be merged with another article. --RProgrammer (talk) 13:43, 20 December 2017 (UTC)

This article is about the "amide radical" because the title of the article is "amidogen". Therefore, I restored an earlier version which was about the radical and not about the anion. Christian75 (talk) 10:27, 25 December 2017 (UTC)
