  1. Amity University, Rajasthan (AUR) has been established by the Amity University Rajasthan, Jaipur Ordinance, 2007.
  2. Amity University Rajasthan is a fully government recognized University with the right to confer degrees as the per sections 2f and 22(1) of the UGC Act.
  1. As per law, Universities do not require approval of AICTE to start or conduct technical programmes.

FOLLOWING ARE THE LIST OF PRIVATE UNIVERSITY IN RAJASTHAN ESTABLISHED UNDER UGC ACT 1956 RAJASTHAN established by the Acts of the Legislatures of different States.

As per the UGC (Establishment of and Maintenance of Standards in Private Universities) Regulations, 2003 and against the judgment in case of Prof. Yash Pal & Others vs. State of Chhatisgarh & Others

These universities are competent to award degrees as specified by UGC under Section 22 of the UGC Act and with the approval of the statutory councils, wherever required through their main campus. Wherever the approval of the statutory council is not a pre-requisite to start a programme, the universities are required to maintain the minimum standards regarding academic and physical infrastructure as laid down by the concerned statutory council.

Universities are generally considered to be notable. Please see Wikipedia:WikiProject Universities/Article guidelines#Notability. The article obviously needs work but there is no reason to delete. Jezhotwells (talk) 13:16, 8 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
there are 4861 colleges and universities in the United States,; see Higher education in the United States. I think we probably have articles on almost every one of them, and are trying to fill in the gaps. If there were 10 times the number, we could handle them. DGG ( talk ) 17:07, 8 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
