On the Patents section

edit

It seems to me that many of those patents are actually filed by others who share the name "Andrew Ng" - for example, the text and audio patents from this link are actually by Andrew Ng who works at Genesys. I don't have the time or energy to go through each individual claim but I'd wager most of them are incorrect. (I'm also well aware that LinkedIn is not a source to prove this claim). Should the section be removed altogether? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.137.77.23 (talk) 15:32, 27 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Machine learning God

edit

Andrew Ng is a pretty cool guy. Eh teaches machine learning and isn't afraid of anything. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.250.8.222 (talk) 17:00, 18 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Notability

edit

Google Scholar identifies 2 papers with 1000+ citations and over 20 papers with 100+ citations. The Wikipedia notability guidelines note that these counts may be off by a factor of 2. But, they are still quite substantial. Also, he has won 5 best paper awards (2 overall, 2 application, 1 student). Jrennie (talk) 20:39, 17 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Origin

edit

How is he 'Chinese-American' if he's born in the UK? Seems like 'British-American' or just 'British' or 'American' would be much closer to the truth.

What does this mean?

edit

“Ng is one of the scientists credited with bringing humanity to AI” sounds vacuous, and I can't find anything in the source that says anything like it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 157.131.205.111 (talk) 20:18, 6 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Could someone add the pronunciation of his name in the lead (especially the surname)?
