Year of birth
editReference 1 (NCERT) says 1964, but VIAF has 1944. I reverted to 1964 based on the cited ref. before I saw VIAF, now am suspecting NCERT may be wrong. ⁓ Pelagic ( messages ) 20:22, 21 November 2021 (UTC)
- It's possible, but unlikely that she was editor of Youth Times at age 11. More likely her writing career started after her tertiary education was completed. ⁓ Pelagic ( messages ) 20:39, 21 November 2021 (UTC)

Birthplace
editArticle currently says "Born in Rourkela, [ref Unveiling Bharat, Penguin Books, 1987. ISBN 0-14-010344-9, p. 1.] ..." But the copy of Unveiling India (same ISBN, variant? title) at Google Books says "Anees Jung was born in Hyderabad. Her father, Nawab Hosh Yar Jung, was one of the principal advisers..." [1]. ⁓ Pelagic ( messages ) 09:32, 23 November 2021 (UTC)
- But the Flamingo reference says Rourkela. Note that Flamingo also diverges on the birth year, so it may be a problematic source. Sorry I reverted you Foolslaughtoo, a good way to get edits to stick is to write your rationale in the edit summary, that way it appears less like some rando making a change for no reason. ⁓ Pelagic ( messages ) 10:00, 23 November 2021 (UTC)
- Good grief, I checked the history, and this back-and forth over the birthplace has been going on since the article started in 2010! ⁓ Pelagic ( messages ) 10:25, 23 November 2021 (UTC)
