Rumors and P.O.V. in text
editWould the person who keeps putting allegations and speculation about Ms. Page's current health please stop. This is simply rumors and has no place on Wikipedia - or should have no place. The fact that some have gossiped about it on IMDB chat boards is hardly proof - IMDB boards are full of all sorts of bogus gossip and speculation.
Additionally, several comments are pure point of view. Films "mercifully not released"... "surprisingly" etc.
As she's Catholic, and remarried, does "dissolved" mean something like "annulled." Or does it mean the more standard divorce? It seems an odd word choice.--T. Anthony 14:50, 30 January 2006 (UTC)
She was known as a devout Catholic, and in fact her career apparently suffered because of her refusal to put out for producers, so I would assume her brief first marriage was in fact annulled, but I can't swear to it, so "dissolved" seems appropriate. 70.19.82.80 18:05, 20 February 2006 (UTC)
- "Sadly, there are rumors that Page is suffering from dementia or Alzheimer's disease." - Where do you have this information? Can you verify it? --User:Martin8721 21:45, 21 March 2006 (CET)
I agree with you, whoever put that on wikipedia has no right to do so unless the actress or her family issues a statement announcing it. Furthermore, as a "rumor" it may be completely untrue.
- I think so too. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and not a place for unconfirmed rumors. I will remove the passage. --User:Martin8721 12:51, 30 March 2006 (CET)
Retirement age
edit"When her contract expired in 1933, she surprised Hollywood by announcing her retirement at the age of 26." I guess the correct age must be 23 since she was born in 1910... Jay--84.60.173.103 (talk) 20:35, 7 September 2008 (UTC)
- See Oscar Wars by Michael Schulman pp.40-41 about alleged improprieties by Louis B. Mayer. Should this be referred to in the article m? Michael Miller MD (talk) 23:38, 13 January 2024 (UTC)
