Death Wish has a source saying this company is STILL distributing it.
editOne source for Death Wish says this company is still distributing it. Wikia contributor 100.0.6.143 (talk) keeps removing the source! Can someone tell him that the film is still by Annapurna? On the other hand, do NOT remove Death Wish from the distributor part of this page. It if is removed, I'll keep re-adding it to the page. Seriously. This time, I believe in reliable sources! End of story. 98.235.48.206 (talk) 02:43, 6 August 2017 (UTC)

Stage 6 Films
editWho keeps removing Stage 6 Films from Professor Marston and the Wonder Women? --LegerPrime (talk) 04:25, 10 November 2017 (UTC)
- @LegerPrime: you're adding unsourced content. You've been warned repeatedly for this and told to include inline citations. Your edits will stay in the article if you add citations; otherwise, they are likely to be removed. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 11:47, 10 November 2017 (UTC)

Annapurna Pictures 'History' section lacking! 2011-2016?
editThe 'Annapurna Pictures#History' subsection page is very lacking on content, notably for prior to 2016. Company founded in 2011, first paragraph says where name of company comes from; (Okay); then we're launched into 2016 and are learning about how they broadened into TV. Anyone else wonder if A24 related to AnnaPurna and vice versa?
editIs there a public misconception that A24 Films = or one spawned the other or something or A24 Pictures = AnnaPurna Pictures? Probably just me. They both put out such quality films! Kudos. Vid2vid (talk) 05:05, 4 September 2018 (UTC)
- Researched on Wikipedia = nope, no connection between A24 (company) and Annapurna Pictures .. I red up in the History so no commonalities like in name change, overlapping staff/founders, etc. Former was established 2012 and the latter 2011 which is close in time, and both begin with A! 2010
editI believe the company started in 2010 or earlier as "Annapurna Productions", because movies Megan Ellison produced in that year have that company credited.

- @WikiAviator thanks for helping clear this up. The user was originally banned two years ago, and by his edit summaries it looks like it's the same editor. Nigos (t@lk • Contribs) 03:01, 26 June 2019 (UTC)

Bankruptcy sources
editThere are now sources on this studio's bankruptcy. Can someone add them in? 98.235.131.222 (talk) 02:41, 14 August 2019 (UTC)

Annapurna is now filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy according to this source.[1] 98.235.131.222 (talk) 15:00, 15 August 2019 (UTC)
- Not done: The source does not seem to qualify as a reliable source per Wikipedia policies. I will happily add this fact if you give a better source --Trialpears (talk) 17:00, 18 August 2019 (UTC)

Annapurna Animation is not a successor to Blue Sky Studios
editJust because Annapurna Animation is comprised of people who originally worked for Blue Sky Studios doesn’t mean it's a successor to Blue Sky Studios. Blue Sky Studios and Annapurna Animation are owned by different companies and their libraries are completely separate. 2600:1008:B099:A2C7:C0D3:5F32:EDF8:2D8E (talk) 13:25, 23 November 2023 (UTC)
- Annapurna Animation is unrelated to Blue Sky Studios, although Nimona, a film Annapurna and Netflix acquired, was originally in production at Blue Sky. 2600:1008:B099:A2C7:C0D3:5F32:EDF8:2D8E (talk) 21:04, 23 November 2023 (UTC)
- I mostly agree with the IP user here. The only time Blue Sky is mentioned in this article is in reference to Annapurna Animation hiring two former Blue Sky executives. The argument could be made that Annapurna is some kind of successor based solely on that fact, but that would be a tenuous argument, IMO. More importantly, there is no source currently in the article that expressly supports the statement that Annapurna is a legal successor to Blue Sky Studios. Making a statement that Annapurna is Blue Sky's legal successor without a source would be OR or SYNTH at best. Aoi (青い) (talk) 07:53, 28 November 2023 (UTC)
