removed comment about hijra community

I just removed an incorrect bit about Bahuchara Mata and the community. I'm the subject of the article, so I'm reluctant to edit it, but I'm probably only a foot and a half over the line into notability anyway, so I somehow doubt there are many other people as expert on my life as I am. Yes, that was me. Since I don't have a COI, I think I'm able to review the article without a relevant bias. Note that although having a COI is discouraged, it does not mean that any article that was originally written with a COI should keep having that banner until the end of times. None of the notable work have sources fitting the criterias as per https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Notability_(people)

Particularly, "People are presumed notable if they have received significant coverage in multiple published secondary sources that are reliable, intellectually independent of each other, and independent of the subject."

None of the sources for Anne Ogborn's notable work are independent from her, this has been brought up since TheresNoTime added the tags to bring attention to the possibility that the article did not live up to the requirements. It seems rushed that you come in here out of nowhere, declaring you have no COI as you remove both the notability and the COI warning tags without discussion or clearing up the COI issue brought up. That does not seem to be the case here. The books are certainly independent, and it seems to be in-depth enough as well. See "Sex changes: Transgender politics" and "Transgender History".

This reads to me like a WP:NPA, please don't. Also, Wikipedia has the WP:BOLD policy. I won't go into an edit war and keep the hatnotes for now, but a single bold edit isn't problematic.

@TheresNoTime: can we reach a consensus about the notability again? As I mentioned earlier, when the article is reviewed by unrelated editors, that hatnote can be removed. Added a source about Anne Ogborn joining the Hijra Community

I think it's interesting to hear in Anne's own words what joining the Hijjra out-group was like, considering she feels comfortable speaking for them. I'm unsure what the Bahuchara Mata deletion is about but considering she felt the need to personally edit her wikipedia page to delete it. It's related in some way to her cultural immersion of the Hijra Community, but research is still ongoing. Justajanitor (talk) 11:26, 26 September 2022 (UTC)

I'm also a scientist by training and enough of a snooty academic to want things in print to be correct. Since I'm reasonably the expert here, and the material I removed was a) not relevant to my bio page, and b) not factually correct, removing it seemed the reasonable course.

Lacks of sources on Notable Work

There are no sources listed, and I'm struggling to find any, for Anne Ogborn's alleged notable work with Camp Trans. Additionally the best source I can find for Anne having anything to do with 'New Women's Conference' is that she briefly (in her own words -- see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Transsexual_News_Telegraph) was an editor of Transsexual_News_Telegraph (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transsexual_News_Telegraph)

Anne's continued work on trans/human rights activism? Unclear

The article contains a fragment 'She continues her activism for transgender and human rights.' which only has a book published in 2008 as a source. (14 years old)

She seems to be running a non-profit called 'Trans Rescue' (RSIN: 863372417) registered in the Netherlands, more work research is required though since they talk about helping cis men (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mcVE9yEYPBY) (http://www.transrescue.org/maeen) with donations directed at Trans Rescue. This seems to conflict with laws in the Netherlands. (https://business.gov.nl/starting-your-business/choosing-a-business-structure/foundation/)

Founder of Kansas City Gender Society and Transgender Nation?

The article mentions Anne Ogborn is known for being the founder of "Gender Society and Transgender Nation" in kansas. However there are no citations and searching just points right back to the wikipedia article Justajanitor (talk) 15:20, 26 September 2022 (UTC)
