removal of line re ancestor

edit

Our article accurately quoted The Guardian, but I've removed the line, as I suspect an error. The Hayley Freeman interview stated that Lady Glenconner's paternal grandmother was a mistress of Edward VIII. I can find no evidence for this; not much has been written about Marion Gertrude Trefusis. It may be a confusion with Alice Keppel, mother of Violet Trefusis and long-time mistress to Edward VII a generation before. Carbon Caryatid (talk) 16:43, 17 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

"Mad blood"

edit

She was engaged to Johnnie Althorp, later father to Princess Diana; his father objected to the match on the grounds of "mad blood", a reference to the institutionalised relatives of the queen...

But she was not a blood relative of the Queen. Valetude (talk) 03:03, 28 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

The novel?

edit

The wiki page on Mustique mentions Anne Tennant, Baroness Glenconner, writing as Anne Glenconner: Murder on Mustique (thriller), but does not give a reference. Valetude (talk) 03:19, 28 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
