First episode pulled 815k: http://playbackonline.ca/2017/03/21/anne-debut-pulls-in-815k-for-cbc/ Damnedfan1234 (talk) 23:23, 22 March 2017 (UTC)
Note on number of episodes
There ARE eight episodes. (the last didn't air on CBC - goes up when Netflix releases the show) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.113.168.98 (talk) 00:22, 10 May 2017 (UTC)
Netflix has now started showing the series but only 7 episodes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 37.152.232.57 (talk) 08:53, 15 May 2017 (UTC)
- Maybe the double-lenght first episode was counted as two initially. --Denniss (talk) 12:12, 15 May 2017 (UTC)
As usual
As usual, there are soooooooo much informatons - but this article is lacking the mayor informations: what is this show about! Production, critic, theme - all nice informations. But I wanted to know, what story I have to expect. So Wikipedia has once more failed the mission. Marcus Cyron (talk) 01:53, 8 January 2018 (UTC)
- Marcus Cyron If you want to read the plot of the novel, then click on the hyperlink to the novel. If you want to know how the series differs from the novel, try the critical reception. I'm sorry that you are not patient enough to make use of the resource staring you in the face, but there it is. Moreover, the overall plot may be gleaned from the episode summaries. As for why no-one has bothered writing one so far (not that the article requires one--that's purely optional, like everything else)--it's probably because when the article started the show only appeared in Canada and every Canadian editor (like most of the public) knows the story already as it is the most widely known work of fiction in this country. Please adopt a more positive attitude, and learn to deal with your narcissism: complaining (whining) that the article has information you don't want and not enough of what you do want, as an editor, indicates that you really don't "get" the project, and that you yourself are the source of your own problem: if you don't think we've done enough, then get off your ass and do the work yourself. We are all volunteers here, not your paid employees, here to stand at attention and say "Yes sir!" in response to your barely-literate tirade. This mentality of yours (which you have been called out for on your talk page numerous times--it's when they tell you you are being overly "blunt")is not Wikipedia's failure; the failure is yours in that you have never looked hard at yourself and addressed it. Despite the rude nature of the request, I've added a premise. ZarhanFastfire (talk) 23:40, 7 February 2018 (UTC)
Split into Season 1 and main article?
We have known for a while a second season is coming. Would someone care to get that started (not something I know about)?ZarhanFastfire (talk) 23:39, 7 February 2018 (UTC)
CBC changed title
On demand last year it was just "Anne", seemed they adopted "with an E" like Netflix now that it's back up on demand. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.51.193.44 (talk) 04:34, 23 July 2018 (UTC)
- I can understand why: it's next to impossible to search for just 'Anne' without having to sort through a haystack of hits. ZarhanFastfire (talk) 02:37, 23 August 2018 (UTC)

Anne (Canadian TV series) → Anne with an E – Per official website, CBC has renamed the series Anne with an E beginning with season 2 to align with Netflix's title choice. RA0808 talkcontribs 20:33, 12 September 2018 (UTC)
- This is a contested technical request (permalink). — Frayæ (Talk/Spjall) 21:01, 12 September 2018 (UTC)
- Comment – FTR, I contested this WP:RM/TR. I am very uncomfortable with moving a TV show to its second season title, regardless of what the producers do (i.e. WP:OFFICALNAME applies). IOW, this strikes me as very similar to the situation to Tangled: The Series, which was also retitled (by Disney) for its second season (but note that the article has not be moved, and Talk:Tangled: The Series discussion ran in the direction of not moving the article, at least not for a while, and at least not without a formal WP:RM). What we have here looks to be the same thing, so I am definitely leaning in the direction of opposing this proposal for now... --IJBall (contribs • talk) 21:10, 12 September 2018 (UTC)
- Support - the situation is not quite so clear as IJBall describes, otherwise I would agree. CBC titled the series Anne for its first season, in conflict with Netflix which as always titled the show Anne with an E. Thus, "with an E" is the more WP:COMMONNAME anyway. Also, preference for naturally disambiguated titles over parenthetical disambiguation. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 21:57, 12 September 2018 (UTC)
- That's an interesting point, of which I was not aware. If this is the case, it would make the case for moving it stronger, as the title would have been Anne with an E from the start, in every region outside of Canada. Add: But this is exactly why it was important to have a WP:RM on this. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 22:44, 12 September 2018 (UTC)
- Support per WP:COMMONNAME and WP:NATURALDISAMBIGUATION. Rreagan007 (talk) 22:39, 12 September 2018 (UTC)
- Support per WP:COMMONNAME and WP:NAMECHANGES. I'll always be in favor of a name change, as any other argument for a previous name always falls short. In this case we have an even easier case - two seasons, each with one name, so the current season would be the obvious choice. Just to get ahead of any WP:RECENT argument - not a valid argument, not a guideline, has no place in this discussion. --Gonnym (talk) 23:59, 12 September 2018 (UTC)
- Comment: Thank you to IJBall for moving this discussion here. I wanted to note for interested editors that CBC's adoption of the Anne with an E title has extended to the recently announced third season ("Anne with an E has been renewed for a third season").
