- ... that the Antonio de Vea expedition (1675–1676) to the fjords and channels of Patagonia was triggered by false rumours about English settlements? Source: "y que todo esto lo había dicho porque le parecía que gustaban los españoles de esto, y que nunca creyó que llegásemos tan adelante” (Vea 1675:606). - Article is very interesting, comprehensive, new enough, long enough, well written and referenced. I did some minor copyedits. Of the hooks, I prefer ALT0 as more concise and interesting. The image is suitable, used in the article, and properly licensed. Nominator has only two DYKs, so QPQ is not required. Good to go.Constantine ✍ 18:32, 15 January 2020 (UTC)
When...
editThe article didn't state when the expedition took place, until the aftermath section. I put "seventeenth century" in the lead paragraph. A more exact date would be better. Geo Swan (talk) 23:48, 4 January 2020 (UTC)
- Geo Swan, thank you for noticing this. The date has been added to the lead now. Sietecolores (talk) 04:01, 7 January 2020 (UTC)
